Dear reader,
Our capacity as a species to be resilient is one of our most fascinating and endearing traits. This instinct to survive against all odds, coupled with ingenuity, has allowed us to build technologies that 50 years ago were considered works of fiction.
2025 was no different for Ambee. The year started off with great promise and hope that was slowly dashed for myriad reasons. The global geo-political situation, the AI hype cycle, and a complete U-turn from all things climate meant our sole mandate became: fix what's broken, survive, then grow. And that's exactly what we did.
During adversity, we found inspiration in unexpected places. For me, it was Invictus by William Ernest Henley:
"In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed."
We did more than survive; we grew. We are now on the path to exponential growth in 2026. So in what was otherwise a year where the punches didn't stop rolling, here's what worked!
The one thing that we realized around 2023 was that while people love our data, there's a ton of value that's being left on the table. This is what led to the creation of ClimaChain, our demand planning and forecasting platform for allergy players.
An early test with a customer provided an exceptionally high ROI for them, which surprised everyone but us. Next came two more pilots by the end of the year. While it started off with just pollen, we're now expanding this to other datasets, including temperature and ILI (Influenza-Like Illnesses).
2026 will see us doubling down on this product-led philosophy, and a massive new release is expected around the middle of the year. Agam is leading the charge on this one, and if you haven't already spoken with him, you absolutely must.
What powers ClimaChain is equally exciting. We're building a deep foundation of 5-10 years of historical weather data that gives our models unprecedented accuracy. Combined with our 45-day weather and pollen forecasts, and upcoming 6-month subseasonal forecasts (keep an eye out), we're giving businesses visibility they've never had before.
We're also expanding beyond the US into Canada, China, Slovakia, and several EU countries, with plans for severe weather data, including hail and thunderstorm coverage across these markets.
Mike and Zach joined us in the last quarter of 2024 and started showing results within a short timeframe. We also got a real boost when Craig Stelmach, a former client, partner, and all-around great guy, decided to join us around June despite multiple options. With Sagar, Neha, and Sabiha's support from India, and a marketing team led by Alok working closely with Craig, we've built a team that is on 24/7.
While we couldn't travel to many events last year, this is surely going to change in 2026, and we expect to meet many of you in person across the world!
Under the leadership of Chandrashekar and Arun, our tech team has put their hearts into the research and development this year. In mid-December 2024, our data team came to us with a strange finding: a near 100% probability of a large forest fire in the LA area in early January 2025. We watched, and on January 7th, some of California's most destructive fires unfolded exactly as predicted.
A product launch on exactly these lines is coming later this year. We're extremely excited about it and know it will positively impact lives in ways few other products can.

For me personally, this year brought tremendous clarity. The focus became revenues and growth, and it's paid off. We're on the path to free cash flow positive in 2026, with more news expected soon that I can't discuss just yet.
That brings me to the second poem that truly kept me going in 2025. Tagore's Ekla Chalo (directly translates to Walk Alone)
